I was surprised to find that I still know the Air Force song after reading "wild blue yonder" (that phrase brought the song back from the depths of my memory).

I'm not really uncomfortable with flying, but I hate the part just after take-off when the plane feels like it's not really taking to the air - once I get past that initial phase I'm usually fine. And it's always nice when pleasant distractions can keep my attention away from possible dangers - one such time was when a little girl yelled at the top of her lungs "I'mmmmm Flyyyiiinnnngg!!!!!!" The whole section around her was laughing hysterically with a few sporadic chuckles occuring thereafter. I think about that even today during that uncomfortable phase of flying and it makes me smile.
